SLIM Program Outcomes

In my journey from accountant to librarian, the persistent theme has been one of balance. I have always felt a strong need to weigh differences and come to a center point. Whether it is balancing assets and liabilities or information needs with services, the process is the same: one must justify the other. This desire for justice has guided me through every aspect of my life. As an information professional, it is my goal to increase awareness of the information needs of traditionally under-served communities and develop new and creative ways to facilitate the access and utilization of resources, in all formats. The SLIM program has provided me with the tools necessary to achieve this goal: theoretical foundations, organizational tools, an increased awareness of information needs, technological experience, and leadership skills.
This will be" my Magnum Opus."
