This website was designed to promote interest in and usage of the Shawnee Mission School District Media Library, a centralized resource for all district owned media resources. A survey was conducted to assess user needs and preferences. The surveys were evaluated and these factors were incorporated into the design. This project was a collaborative effort between the Curriculum and Instruction and Information Services Departments of the school district, as well as the web design group members.
This is a curriculum-based website which organizes all district owned media resources in a teacher-friendly format. It was designed to facilitate the location and usage of resources specific to the teachers' needs. Pages are individually customized according to topic and teacher searching preferences. (This is an ongoing project and is continually updated.)
