Outcome Demonstrate life-long learning skills by continually acquiring new knowledge, skills and perspectives to respond to changing conditions. Value Imagine outside the box by demonstrating creativity in problem solving, management, and other professional activities. I created Green Resources Libguide while working as a Reference Intern for Mabee Library at Washburn University. LibGuides is a product that enables libraries to create web2.0 guides that allow video, web links, podcasts, polls, and other media to be added easily. I created this Green Resources guide to assemble the resources that Washburn offers on the subject, along with helpful websites and media online for students and faculty to use as a resource. The project exemplifies that I am putting into practice what I have taken from the program. I am trying to reach users by appealing to multiple learning types. I incorporated video clips, podcast links, book cover images, as well as brief descriptions of the resources. The LibGuides tool also facilitates tagging, so folksonomies are used to describe and access my Green Resources LibGuide. |
