Creating men and women who are capable of doing new things...

"The principle goal of education in the schools should be creating men and women who are capable of doing new things, not simply repeating what other generations have done; men and women who are creative, inventive and discoverers, who can be critical and verify, and not accept, everything they are offered." ~Jean Piaget

Welcome to my homeroom!

As a teacher, I have been given an amazing gift - the opportunity to train young minds, to motivate and encourage their voracious curiousities, to nurture their incredible imaginations and innate desire to learn. I believe that it is my responsibility to provide support and guidance, to challenge students to ask questions, think critically and take part in creative problem solving.

However, as much as I love teaching, I love learning just as much. I am not only a teacher - I am a student as well and there is much that I can learn from these young minds. "I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children." Matthew 11:25

Learning is a lifelong endeavor- it is a privilege that we are given the opportunity to expand our knowledge and satisfy our yearning to learn more about the amazing world around us! It is my hope that I will inspire students to always seek to know more.
